Deep Creek Elementary School Reviews
Quality Score: 5 Post Date:2009-08-28
“Deep Creek Elementary is the reason I chose to live where I live. The teachers are attentive and caring. My son has spent four years there, loves it, and has had extremely high scores on national exams due to what he has been taught there.” This review was posted by a parent.

“As an employee of this school I would like give you my opinion of our faculty and staff. It is one of the most cohesive groups you could hope to have. We all work as one to ensure the best for all children. We are very aware of the diverse backgrounds that we have and be assured that each child is shown respect for their cultural background and beliefs. When the children arrive each day they stop being just your children and become ours also. Not only is their education critical to us, we also work to see that they are well rounded in all areas that will affect their lives. As an Instructional Assistant of 29 years I can assure we all do our best for all of 'OUR'children.” This review was posted by a other.

“This school has great teachers and curriculum. My oldest daughter passed her math SOLs with 100% her third grade year with Mrs. Sutherland and my younger daughter just completed kindergarten this year with an abundant enthusiasm for reading. She can read beginning chapter books with little or no help. The guidance department was an excellent resource for me when my daughter was first diagnosed with ADD. They offered her any available resources neccessary to help which were plenty. There's after school tutoring and a learning center for parents with books and videos on a variety of subjects. The school has movie nights once a month, a carnival, field day and skating night once a month. The techers are quick to respond to questions or concerns. The only downside to this school is the restraints of the SOL requirements on the freedom of the teachers to teacher outside of the box.” This review was posted by a parent.
