“I have nothing but the best to say about Trinity. They are warm, caring and make learning fun. They are so involved with community events and are always doing things to help school families. It is nice to see in this day in age that tradition is still important to them. They are not behind in technology though. I am impressed with the new on-line grading/ communication tool the school has just introduced. I always know when assignments are due and what grade my son received is as soon as it is posted!”

“We sent our daughter to Trinity Lutheran for two years, after hearing mixed reviews about our local public school. While we had a pleasant enough experience at Trinity, had I to do it over, I would have skipped Trinity and sent her to our local public school. The school is small, nurturing and offers a safe environment for its students. Mrs. Hales (the first grade teacher) is one of the best in the area. That said, the administration can be unapproachable (although, in fairness, the only complaint I ever had to take to that level was addressed immediately), some of the teachers are a bit unfriendly, and behavioral problems never seem to get fully resolved. The school is ve religious-based, to the point that religion and academics are almost equally matched in importance and time spent teaching. The class sizes can become ridiculously small (four and five students per class in the upper grades) and the ryschool offers nothing in the way of extra-curricular activities. If you are interested in a private school environment, Trinity is an affordable alternative to other area private school options.”

“Trinity Lutheran School has been part of the Tidewater community for over 60 years and it shows. They have deep roots in their tradition, but that does not mean they are behind on their educational standards. With small class sizes each student definetly gets plenty of individual attention. This school has made it clear that they put kids first.”

“My daughter has attended Trinity for the past two years and our experience has been wonderful. The faculty and staff put their whole heart in to the school. I do not agree with the statement by the last parent. The adminstrator and her staff are some of the kindest people I have ever found, they made our family feel like part of theirs. I have always felt I could go to the Administration and have any concern be taken seriously and reviewed with thought. This school has expectations for parents to be apart of their childs education and to help support the teacher and staff decisions. It saddens me to hear such negative things be said about Trinity when I have never experienced any of this - only a child that has never complained and is always happy to go to school.”

“Things are not what they seem here. It does not do any good to speak up because the director doesn't care. The teachers make you think they care but it's just a job. I am not sending my child back there next year. Christian school? HA! It's nothing but clicks there. I know there is something better.”

“After seeing all of the problems other parents were having with the public school system, we knew we would invest in a private education for our children. We have attended Trinity for 3 years now and are overall happy with our experience. The parent involvement at this school is huge, with all sorts of family oriented events provided by the parent association. However, the administration should pay closer attention to problems that the parents are having and make a better effort to resolve them instead of just sweeping it under the rug. The parents would also benefit from more personal communication on how our children are progressing academically and behaviorally.”
