Portsmouth Christian School Reviews

I had two students at PCS and while there are positive things to say about every school, we found the school to be very legalistic with a great deal of favoritism shown to teacher's kids. Often times teachers were doing the bare minimum in instruction/teaching. We moved our enrollment to the other Christian school in the area and found it to be a breath of fresh air. My son couldn't thank us enough! Large numbers aren't always what makes a school great!

My children have attended PCS for over thirteen years. My daughter graduated last year and my son has three years left. It is a wonderful school and we have been blessed to be a part of it. If you are looking for a good school, this is the one to pick.

I am a member of the middle school of PCS. The teachers are so thoughtful and considerate. Our school has just started a football program. Go Patriots! The extracurricular activities are great!

I am currently a student at PCS. I have gone here all of my life and I have never once regretted it. It has an amazing Christian atmosphere that has helped me a lot. The majority of the teachers are so caring that they become part of your family. Whenever I need help, they are always there for me. The honors classes are challenging, but with the amazing staff, I am able to learn and understand each of my subjects much easier. The athletic program there is great. I am involved in two different sports there, and the coaches are just as caring as the teachers. The school is growing every year. It will soon be one of the largest private schools in the area. PCS is the best school that you could ever find. I strongly recommend it to everyone! It deserves more than 5 stars!

PCS is a wonderful school, my children are learning a solid Christian education, the teachers, and administration truly care about every student and know the children's parents as well.

Portsmouth Christian has been a great experience for our family. The staff is caring, and takes time to get to know the children. The administration knows most parents, who their children are, and in some instances who their teacher is. This personal touch is something that is missing from our public school system today. One teacher even called when my son missed a day of school to check on how he was feeling!

P.C.S. has been a wonderful experience for my children. Teachers truly make the difference! The school is solid. We are very blessed to be part of P.C.S When they say Christ makes the difference in the motto ~ its true! As with any school, nowhere is perfect, but I sure appreciate the dedication of the teachers and the great influence they have had over my children. Thanks P.C.S.!

I love the fact that at PCS, my daughter is not just another student. She is a name with a face. Prayer and Bible study are a very big part of their daily learning. I also am very impressed with their dress code policy. I must admit, in today's age, it's not always easy to find clothes that are school appropriate but it can be done and when you look at what girls at public schools are wearing, you are glad that you took the extra time to look. The administrative staff really involves the parents in the students' and schools' activities.
