Holy Trinity School Reviews

Holy Trinity School is such a great community! I love that the students are in a strongly Catholic program. Mass every week is something the students don't even complain about, there are daily prayers, and the priest is available to the school and takes his time for the school. The connected parish is so alive and there is plenty for every family. There is an expectation that school families be a part of the parish -- but we like that aspect. A smaller school, which has some limitations with sports, but we love the small class sizes and hands-on attention. The principal does a great job with the administration. We just love it.

Every school has strengths and weaknesses. My daughter is now in fourth grade and has attended Holy Trinity since kindergarten. We have never considered another school. The small class sizes, the personalized attention, as well as the accountability and discipline inherent when the entire faculty makes it a priority to know all students, makes Holy Trinity a best choice for those seeking a Catholic faith based education where respect and safety are paramount. I wish more parents knew what an advantage the small classes at Holy Trinity provide--the student/teacher ratio is such a strong factor in academic success. Especially if parents knew what their children really had to deal with in Norfolk's public middle schools...Holy Trinity provides a safe, nurturing environment where students can thrive.

We chose Holy Trinity as a school primarily because it is connected to a Catholic parish and the kids go to Mass each week (the other Catholic school we would have used only goes to Mass once a month or so) and that really mattered to us. The teachers are strong and classes small. My only complaint is the size of the school, it is very small.

I changed my daughter to Holy Trinity from Northside ISD. I thought this school would be great. It is better by far. No fights, drugs etc. But if you are new the students & teachers can be difficult. I have had to have several words with teachers and the principal. (when I can get them to return emails or phone calls). Sports in this school are a joke. So is the so called music program. I would say if you keep a good eye on you child's grades and what is going on in class all will be fine.

Our son has attended Holy Trinity going on four years. The entire staff makes it a point to know all of the students by name as well as their parents. Personalized attention is always present and the select limited class size helps. Their education program has been excellent and structured. We are impressed with the parental support the school and Principal have created. They help develop happy, prepared, young ladies and gentlemen. We would recommend their program to anyone seeking a quality and caring education for their child.

My son is in Pre-K (3) and loves it. The class is big enough for him to have lots of company but small enough not to feel lost in the crowd. He likes that there is a theme each week and the songs, painting, stories, etc., follow the theme. I like that his teacher successfully taught the children to stand in line and the importance of taking turns. I also like the Thursday reports of his progress for the completed week and the plan(s) for the upcoming week(s). I also like that the school is not open for all to walk in the front door. His teacher walks the class (in line) to meet the parents at the front door and doesn't let them leave until she sees that the parent is there to pick them up.
