| Description: |
i went to a funeral for my cousin ben's grandfather at arlington cemetary. the whole feel of the place with it's stone eagles and lines and lines of fallen soldiers made me feel like they were still standing at attention. the feeling of honor, service, and tradition struck me very profoundly. these men served, struggled, and died for the freedom we take for granted everyday. it was a very powerful ceremony and still stays with me today. i wish that i could feel like they all gave their lives for something worthwhile. still, governments lie, politicians lie; i wonder, how many wars are fought, how many of our brave soldiers die for nothing but lies? |
